Regular maintenance of your gas turbine is very important for its performance and lifetime. But also during long term storage and/or transport it is very important to take care of your equipment and follow the guidelines. If your engine is stored outside in its shipping container, make sure the bearings are preserved with the correct preservation oil, add desiccant bags inside the container, the container is pressurized and airtight to prevent moisture/water coming in. In case of bad weather during construction, water and moisture may also enter the container. Don’t forget to open and dry the container afterwards. This will prevent corrosion and prevent additional costs to repair the unit.
